Andrew is a licenced DVSA approved and registered trainee driving instructor, having passed two of the three tests necessary to become an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor). These advanced tests are administered by the DVSA. As a PDI (Potential Driving Instructors) Andrew is actively working towards taking the third and final test.
What safeguards are in place?
Strict DVSA safeguards exist to ensure learners are taught by approved instructors who are up to the task, whether they are fully qualified or not.
A PDI will only be allowed to teach after a minimum of 40 hours in car training. The PDI will then have to complete a further 20 hours additional hours of teaching with their instructor. Andrew has exceeded this level of attainment working along side an ADI with 18 years experience.
